Re: "Stuka 'downs' P-51 Mustang"

One thing I've learned about teenagers - they never feel nearly as bad about the havoc they create as they should.

Sorry about your loss, DADoser, but count your blessings....at least it wasn't a Draggin'!!

YEAH - a Draggin! - that would have been a tragedy of Katrina proportions!

A Corgi P-51, that's like loosing the equivalent of a Matchbox skybusters toy.

Keep up the humor. humor is GOOD!

What was the fate of the unnamed High School Freshman?

Re: "Stuka 'downs' P-51 Mustang"

That is every collectors nightmare .
I'm sure the teenager felt awful after what they did.
Hope you will find another to replace it.

Airplane, or 14 year old freshman?!?

It IS only an airplane, but I feel for you, DA, sorry for your loss.

.................................................. ......ONLY AN AEROPLANE......................................... ....................

WHAT? Dont you mean a beautiful and perfect Historic replica? Oh sorry ,it was a Corgi.

Dadoser you bring back happy memories of family life. Mine has fled the nest and peace reigns supreme.

There are moments when I miss all the hustle and bustle, but the moments pass very quickly.

If I spot said model I will send you a PM.

In the meantime I suggest your daughter does suitable penance, such as a fresh coffee and your slippers awaiting every night when you get home, plus any fetching and carrying as needed. (In my experience this works for about 2 days at best).

God Bless America.

DAD ... I know exactly where you’re coming from. Something like that is enough to make you pop a cork.

If I find this model on the net, I’ll definitely send you a PM. In the meantime, take heart.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

Not sure when your birthday is DADoser but it seems like your daughter, with help from her mother, has a perfect gift idea. Or maybe a Father's Day gift?

Re: "Stuka 'downs' P-51 Mustang"

My son at age 2 decided my Matchbox Olds P-38 no longer needed the nose mounted .50s. I wasn't too upset until I started to see how much they were going for on E-Bay. So I feel your pain.
