Re: This is just wrong

Being PC makes me sick. You've got watch what you say all the time especially at work. What about my freedom of speech? The paper even says military aircraft have been having noseart painted on them since WWI. Bhah! See what you get with women in the service.

Re: This is just wrong

I wonder how many American Christians (on the conservative "right") would be offended by this aircraft art and also agree with this "PC" ban on it?

Wasn't there an American statute of Lady Justice that was "clothed" due to exposed breasts by the Ashcroft ran/Bush Administration's Justice Dept.? - Hey its not just the "liberals" who are against free speech and liberty. Let's just be consistent and not let the "conservative" Right off when they do the same crap. "PC" seems to be in the eye of the beholder. Shall we expand this discussion to the FCC and censorship, court challenges, and FOX media's recent win against the FCC, as well as this "conservative" Administration's efforts to ban/supress what's offensive to their political base..................nah, let's not............

The ban on noseart is a little silly. Isn't bombing and killing a few Muslim's with the actual aitcraft, offensive enough to that community that it kinda over shadows the half clothed women artwork?

The article says that no service women have complained about the nose art. The whole thing is nothing but a bunch of pencil-pushing, paper-shuffling bureaucrats solving a problem that doesn't exist.

Re: This is just wrong

Anyone know of any female pilots that have put male pin-ups on their aircraft - with the male anatomy enhanced or hanging out? Would this be a problem? Just curious? (And trying to be funny.)

Depending on who you ask I guess the F-117 "Scorpion 4" would qualify for that since a certain friend of ours is on the tail without any clothes

Since the artwork is intended to boost morale, I would think female pilots would have artwork depicting shoes, purses & jewelry on their planes rather than naked dudes.

I pretty sure these female Viper pilots have their own "male fantasy pin ups" in their lockers as well. Equal opportunity for both sexes I dare say!

...Equal opportunity for both sexes I dare say!

I agree..........

however, if I was actually confronted with the reality of seeing numerous aircraft painted up w/ artwork depicking men with the scale equivalent of 12" +...........then I might start having some feelings of inadequecy.

What about male gay pilots who are "out" and the possibilities of the nose art on their aircraft? Is this an argument for "don't ask, don't tell?"
