Re: 801st (provisional) bomb group

I can't find a copy on google or amazon, any suggestions?

Try http://www.abebooks.com/ or http://www.addall.com/

These are great sources for used books.

They are great--I found a book on Eddie Rickenbacker, came out in 2005, they wanted $45. Found it at the above site for $13.70 shipped!

Yes sir! When I was looking for copies of various editions of "The World's Fighting Planes" and "Aircraft of the World" (all 1950's or 60's titles), I found them all on ABE. Reasonable prices, and fast shipping. It's my first choice for used aircraft books.

Re: 801st (provisional) bomb group

Shawn,

Just noticed that a newly released 1/72 scale decal sheet contains markings for a Carpetbaggers bird. It also includes a few pictures showing some of the modifications and a list of all mods made to the airframe:

Re: 801st (provisional) bomb group

Your going to have to send me the link seperately, it didn't take me to what you described. But the thought of doing a full re-paint on a Corgi B-24

If you scroll down about 1/2 - 3/4 of the page you'll see a listing of each plane on the sheet. It's a pretty interesting sheet since it covers 2 C-130Js, one F-100, one B-24, and an EB-66. Here are the screen shots:

Re: 801st (provisional) bomb group

So which Corgi should get the repaint? Personally I'd like one of the later models with nose turret.
