I don't, but my friend John, whom a few of you met the the Legends airshow does.

Re: Who among us plays with model trains as well?

I have a box full o N scale trains, about 10 locos and railcars. Mainly time period III (post WWII into the sixties) German. Brands Minitrix, Arnold, Roco and Fleischmann.
"Played with" condition most of it...

Can we try with real bullets now?

The DL 800 was locomotive that Marlin put out for a couple of years in the mid 1950s I believe. It can be best described as a concept locomotive in that it is not modeled after a locomotive that never was produced. Still have the box for the one I have and box has wooden insert for locomotive to rest on while in the box. Have seen these locomotives go for mad money on eBay with engines in non running condition still fetching over $1500.00. The one I have looks like the one in the picture below.

A work in progress. I hope to have it in my basement before winter.

What did you have to give up as part of the deal?

Mmmm. Living in a one bedroom apartment barely affords me space for my growing 1:72 (Bombers!) & 1:144 aircraft collection (display rotation a must) let alone model trains(!)

I know I'd get zero heat from my wife if we had a basement, as she spends time with me gazing at them in George's Trains, here in town, a couple of blocks away. The only dilema would be HO or N. The smaller scale would certainly allow for a 'denser' setup. (I really like the high-speeds: EuroStar Thalys, TGV, ICE train, etc)

It's all moot, though, as long as we are living here. I go on record here saying: I'd do it if I could and I am a bit envious of those here who do!
