Re: Quiz, Can you name this plane

I remember building that kit. I really liked the Airfix kits in the plastic bag, still have a few unbuilt ones.

Cruv'; see if you can 'scan' the instruction-sheets from the (old) Airfix "series.1's"

Would LOVE you to dredge-up that Fantastic thread you started some months back, with the old Airfix box artworks

After all.... they are the prime reason why us older guys got into die-cast a/c in the 1st place.

Without them, me, you, & about 100 others prob' wouldn't be here without them showing up !!!!!!!!!

They were such an inspiration, both kits & the (very) evocative box-artwork = stirring the imagination !!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, it was model kits like these that got me into model collection too. Had many fun times putting some of these together.

Re: Quiz, Can you name this plane

It has been awhile, so here is one that might be a bit of a challenge to identify.

Another fairly tough one. What aircraft is this the front office too?

You hit the nail square on the head there Hornchurch,
Airfix kits kept me out of trouble as a youngster, I was always working for the local farmers so I could raise a few shillings for yet another kit.
I finished up with around 200 of them in total.

Happy days.

God Bless America.

I THOUGHT it was a Fokker, but I couldn't find it in my daggone aircraft book!
