Re: Quiz, Can you name this plane

Not sure how hard this one might be for somebody to hang a name on.

Re: Quiz, Can you name this plane

This is a nice looking biplane for someone to put a name too.

Looks like a Hawker. Nimrod, perhaps?

Re: Quiz, Can you name this plane

Jim; I'm hoping that YOU, Cruv', Epz', or ANY of the other sharp/Eagle-eyed a/c enthusiasts can help 'bail' me out on this one.....

This poor windshield//windscreen was photographed laying in a Norfolk scrapyard in 90*F weather, in summer(July) 1995

I'd REALLY love to know your thoughts (& indications) as to what a/c it is FROM, Gents !!!!!!!!

P.S.
If you knew WHAT was next to it (the reason for our visit) some of you would choke on your dinner !!!!!!!! (I was in disbelief !!!!!!!!)

But I NEED to 'I.D' that windscreen 1st......... over to 'you-lot' !!!!!!!!!

This is the windscreen from a Meteor.

This is a nice looking biplane for someone to put a name too.

Looks like a Fairey Fox, to me..........

P.N.F. thanks for your answer to my question - I was hoping Cruv' or Epz' (or one of the other lads could confirm this, for definate (???????)

I wasn't sure if it was from a Meteor, or maybe another 1950's Jet ???????

Anyone out there disagree with P.N.F. (cause I think he's right) ?

(I'm refering to the picture in Post 2812, on the previous-page)

I think I have some close up shots of a Meteor that I saw at the Planes of Fame museum, have to take a close look at them.

My first impression was that's a Harrier's windscreen. However, assuming it's right side up, the side frames slant up and outwards, which is a very unusual configuration. Normally, they are straight up and down or angled with the widest portion at the base. This is a tough one.
