Zoiks -- how's a fellow supposed to work?

With a B-24, 25, and 17 buzzing my house every 20 minutes!

(The collings tour has hit a town nearby and the flight path is right over my house.... very cool, very distracting.... maybe I should just write the day off as a sick day and sit in the backyard all day... hmmmm.)

PappyB, I really am trying hard to work up a tear for you. I am. Really.

After all, here you are, working at home and having to put up with all the noise and vibration those passing bombers create. Well, I can only imagine what you are going through.

I'm sure you would rather be holed-up in a windowless, airless, little piece of Hell like I am. Yep..you get a lot of work done in a place like this. Wish you were here.

Now that's funny! Do we work together Black6? I'm home today but the temp in my room at school just hit 90 I bet. No windows , no outside door. Poor sub.

And you Pappy, you'll get no sympathy from me. Lucky stiff! Wish bombers would fly over my house.

Yeah, I'm giong to try to go see them up at McClellan air base during that stop... might go up to Lincoln tonight to see what's going on, too. The "music" has stopped... for now. Never actually saw the B-24, just the B-17 and 25. Perhaps not enough folks signed up for a ride in the 24 to get her in the air...

Yup, went up tonight and they were all sitting there on the tarmac -- the b-24 never made it into the air as not enough people bought rides.... didn't get to even see 'em fire up the engines. Would have been cool, too, as I've never seen a place were you can get as close to the birds as at this particular airport.... May go up again in the morning to see if the Lib gets off the ground, as they said there was a good chance.

I don't believe I've ever heard someone say that before...

Re: Zoiks -- how's a fellow supposed to work?

Just think ......What the sound would of been like to hear a fleet of these bombers flying by during WWII.....
That would of been a awsome feeling i tell ya .......But not for Germany.
JP

Too bad people aren't getting in the B-24 ...I was told they upped their prices to 425 now for 30 mins.
Are you coming to sac to get a ride on the B-17 Pappy ?

Tell them to fly about 100 miles east, I'll be home in the foothills of the eastern Sierra tomorrow. Meanwhile not spotted (or heard) over Flag.
