Re: Hello Been a long time but hello again!!!!!!!!!

So what do you guys collect?

Hey there.

Personally, I collect 1:72 planes and tanks. I've got a few other scale planes, but have decided I like 1:72 as most of my planes and tanks have gone that way and it's a nice comprimise between space and detail.

In planes, any of the gear optional manufacturers are game, but my favorites are Hobby Master, Gemini and Corgi. I've got most eras in my airforce, but probably like WWII Era planes the best.

In tanks, its WWII primarily with a smattering of newer stuff. I also break my 1:72 rule for Corgi 1:50 scale tanks that I can find cheap at Tuesday Mornings.

Recently I grabbed a couple of Corgi helicopter which have been taking up room next to me on my desk. I can see myself taking a serious plung in that direction soon as the two Sea Kings that I have knock me out. Oh, the whirlpool sucks me in once again...........

Anything for a weird life.

Welcome to the Forum Patrick...Better keep your wallet far away if you know what i mean....
I collect the 1/18 aircrafts as well and the 1:32 and 1:48 lines....I just got out of the 1:72nd line of WWII fighters.....I think.. .
I still have a few left but for that line it's the modern military jets.
Have fun here and glad to have you on the forum.

Thumbs up Re: Hello Been a long time but hello again!!!!!!!!!

Welcome Patrick,

As far as what I collect, 99% aircraft, and an occasional tank. In the A/C the scale is 1/72, or 1/48, with a couple of 1/18th thrown in for good measure.
Corgi is my primary, but have some of FM, HM, Dragon, and a new Century Wings, all great models. Glad to have you aboard!

Welcome to the Looney Tunes asylum, WMF115! Glad to see ya!!!

Ummm ... lez see ...

I collect 1/72 mostly, mostly aircraft and armor, mostly Corgi, Dragon, Witty and Hobby Master. Recently went ape crackers over 1/32 Forces of Valor and 21st Century armor. Also collect those teeny-weeny Titanium Star Wars models you find at Wal-Mart. Oh, yeah ... I purchased two 1/18 Sabres and a Mig-15 not too long ago. Fun stuff.

Anyway, welcome!

Re: Hello Been a long time but hello again!!!!!!!!!

Hi, WMF115,

I collect 1.72 armour. I build the stuff, collect it in boxes and build dioramas to display it ( read that as : to play with it ). I also collect 1.72 planes.

I have a Dragon/ Fov / Admiral/CDC armour collection which is about 100 strong. This is augmented by about 100 1.72 models which I have built over the years. Also by about 300 1.72 soldiers which I have assembled and painted.

I have about 20 1.72 planes of all types and all WW2 ( all Corgi and Dragon ) I also have some 1.44 planes ( the rarer civil aviation Daks from Corgi ) and some choppers.

I have a small collection of 1.1200 scale ships ( old and metal )

Wecome aboard.

Everyone here is crazy. You have been warned!

cheers,

MoMo
