Re: Guess the Plane

OK.....Try this one guys.

JP

This one’s a mystery, Star ... but it looks like a close cousin to the OV-10A Bronco. Similar nose and canopy, but that single tail? Definitely not a Bronco. In proportion to the fuselage, those wings look incredibly small, too. Did that thing actually fly?

Re: Guess the Plane

I hear ya, Gort. Maybe Rockwell International did some last minute "on the fly" mods to their OV-10, perhaps???

I don’t know, fly – but I definitely want one! Just think how you could intimidate your loud, anything-goes, boom-box blasting neighbor kids. Definitely make an impression.

So you wanna play that rap-crap music again, huh? Fine ... WATCH THIS!!!

Re: Guess the Plane

Would that be the Glenn Martin Bomber?
Glenn Martin GMB Bomber, 1936. The first US-designed bomber procured by the US Army in quantity in the World War I era. The US Army had previously purchased the English Handley-Page O/400 and Italian Caproni designs for construction by US builders with Liberty 12-A engines in place of the original engines

Nope. Hint - the name is on the side (and it's a civvie). It's creator was a guru of sorts.

Attachment 3013

It kinda has the look of a Handley Page Hampden medium bomber but I can't really put my trigger finger on it.....

Gosh, I wish I had my Data Flash Cards file on Military Aircraft History handy or that one would've been a piece of cake!
