That's a Beech XA-38 Grizzly, originally designed as a bomber destroyer, but later modified to be a ground attack aircraft armed with a 75 mm Cannon, 2 fixed 50 Cals, and 2 2 gun turrets worth of 50s. The thing looks like a Beech 18 on steroids, indeed its model designation is Beech 28. However, this bad boy was powered by a pair of Wright R3350s (B-29 Engines) so it had some serious get up and go, with a top speed in the high 300s.

Correct- mean looking sucker with that long 75mm. Only two built and project canceled because there was no need for attack aircraft and the B-29s had priority for the engines.

It's a Beech Expedanza! Or what happens when a Bonanza gooses a Bugsmasher or what comes out of Beechcraft when they run short of parts or...
