Re: 1:72 figures?

Hi 1948. Airfix have released 3 airfield sets in 1/72 scale comprising WW 2 airfield with crews etc. Luftwaffe, RAF and USAAF. They look good but will have to be assembled and painted. I'm sure you'll find what you need there.

Re: 1:72 figures?

Looks like Heller also has a series of 1/72nd scale ground crew. There is RAF Personnel Stock number HR9647 (47 figs), USAAF Personnel Stock Number HR9648 (46 figs), and finally Luftwaffe Personnel Stock Number 9655 (48 figs). Squadron mail order has them at $5.39 each. Hope this may be useful to you.

The 1.72 figs which Heller sell are Airfix figs in a new box. The old Airfix WW2 Control Tower, Queen Elizabeth aircraft transporter and RAF vehicle set are also marketed by Heller under the old Airfix name....you can find them all on ebay.

Also, get Preisser Luftwaffe sets, painted and plain. The sets are much better than the Airfix one, and are hard plastic with lots of extras to create dioramas and display models.

Also, 1948, check out this site to see the Preisser models painted :

http://www.scalelink.co.uk/acatalog/...ail_Only_.html

and ( mostly HO scale painted ):

and freebie card models for dioramas ( check the scale ! )
