Post Re: What to do with a broken heart!

Hi YKK950 I am sure all your friends here feel for you in what must be the darkest hours of your life, but one day the sun will shine again for you as surely as it will rise tomorrow.
Having experienced a parents ultimate nightmare I know a little about grief & that dreadful sense of emptiness when a loved one is lost, so YKK please do not hesitate to PM me for a private chat via e mail if you wish....please remember you are not alone.
Kindest regards,
Nimrod.

P.S. I love the pets

Re: What to do with a broken heart!

Hello YKK950, lost my father back in June. Shoot now when I find some really interesting aircraft fact my first thought is to pass it on to may Dad. Yep, it can definitely get kind of depressing, but I know he would not want me to feel that way. Try to focus on the positive things going on in your life and Hey, you have a really cool looking dog and cat to hang out with. During my first divource (Yep had more than one), I found a pooch can be a really good friend. Take care.

YK950, been there. Know how it feels. It hollows out the soul and dims the horizon. Your comfort in your everylife has shattered, and It's the bitterest of pills to swallow. All you have to do, is wish a little of your live away so time can heal your disappointment. It' not easy, but you will crest the hill and life will repair itself once more. Courage Cobber.

Courage, Cobber!

See, my friend, isn't that what I told you? Your boys and your friends and your hobby--and that darn dawg, of course.

Now, remember the remedy? Fish oil, first, every day. Then some sunshine, and a call to the boys. I am so glad that you had the courage to PM me. I am making this public, as others have done, to let you know that we are all this small community of Care-Givers.

I am in constant heart-pain every day, with my 41-year old baby protecting the Yorkshires in Helmand Province. Every day. And when he calls on one of those satellite phones, my heart leaps. And I am just one of so many.

It is so trite for us to say "Hang in there!" But we really mean it. And easy on the single-malt.

Re: What to do with a broken heart!

I've been hesitant to post on this thread as in times of bereavement words sometimes offer little solace as they cannot adequately convey one's thoughts ... all I can say is that the thoughts and prayers of many forum members are with you in your time of need YKK950 and may time bring about healing and an upliftment of your spirit.

Re: What to do with a broken heart!

The only thing that will truly heal your broken heart is time. Take that time to work it out and understand loss is just another facet of your very rich and meaningful ride through life. Hang in there we are all with you and are always here to talk to and share your feelings. My mother died suddenly one year ago this week. The boys on the forum helped me deal with my loss. Time my friend is your healer. Best wishes.

Hang in there buddy. Just when you think things are at the worst, something will turn your point of view around.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.
