Yet more wise words from you Cardinal, I do of course believe that I am only a casual collector and could stop anytime I wanted.

BTW I cannot wait for the Princess Elizabeth Mustang to arrive.Oh and the P40.

Re: How did you get started?

I worked my way down from 1/6 action figures (GI Joes). Started in 1998 or so with a carded US Navy figure released by Hasbro. I was a GMG1, so a USN figure in dungarees was ME...

The Internet led me to the "Sandbox", the Usenet newsgroup alt.toys.gi-joe. The "Sandbox" led me to all kinds of retailers, selling all kinds of stuff.

About the same time (1998), a new company, 21st Century Toys starting selling REALISTIC stuff, which I started collecting.

When 21st Century Toys started selling 1/18 scale stuff, it was easy for me to start getting that stuff too, since I was starting to run out of space for my 1/6 collection.

Last year, I started running out of space even for my 1/18 collection, and one of the 1/18 board I frequent had a "small scale" section. That led me to various retailers that sold 1/72 scale to my current collection, which includes 1/700 watercraft, 1/72 aircraft, 1/72 armor, 1/72 figures, 1/18 watercraft, 1/18 armor, 1/18 aircraft, 1/18 figures, 1/6 watercraft, 1/6 armor, 1/6 aircraft, and 1/6 figures...
