I second that . . . and I have boxes in and under every nook and cranny in my (one bedroom!!) apartment. Those boxes are almost as valuable as the planes that came in them (the Aviation Archive ones anyhow). PLUS I just remembered I have a stash of diecast planes in my storage locker and I didn't make a list, nor did I note WHERE in that locker they are!!! (It's a BIG and deep locker!) | ||||||||||||||

| Re: when does collecting diecast airplanes s%@K! The wife complains about the boxes as I have them in the closet and of course they are in the way, she says they must go and I say no lol. She thinks oh there just boxes but if we moved to the manson on top of the hill someday lol I will need them to put the planes in!!! | |||||||||||||

| Re: when does collecting diecast airplanes s%@K! When you are anticipating the "killer" new release that is supposed to be out any day... and you check this forum and any other web-site you can find for information three times a day; and then days turn into weeks, weeks into months, and months compound with that much anticipated "killer" new release seemingly never appearing. Geez... even the meds and the happy places can't placate the frustration! | |||||||||||||

| Re: when does collecting diecast airplanes s%@K! When my wife and I married earlier this year, we ended up consolidating two households into one apartment, temporarily. I found that Rubbermaid Roughneck storage totes are ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL for packing and protecting the collection. Of course, it's a bit of a hassle to find room for 8 of these things, but at least the boxes and diecast are safe from water, dust, and the possibility of being crushed. As to the question posed that started this thread? How about when there is so much awesome stuff out there you end up kind of "ho-hum" when some items start to arrive i.e. Hobbymaster's Night Hellcat and McCain's A-4. Don't get me wrong, they are nice, they just didn't "light my fire" like other releases. | |||||||||||||
