My Day With Orange County Choppers

This was a great experience for me and I just had to share. Long story short, my company has comissioned Orange County Choppers of the well known TV series "American Chopper" to build a custom bike that will run on E-85 (85% Ethanol). It will be the first of its kind, and will represent our nation's movement to using more renewable energy and cut our need for foreign oil. I work for an agricultural organization called the Iowa Farm Bureau, and our goal is to showcase the state of Iowa and its leadership in renewable energy production (Iowa is number one in ethanol and biodiesel production and 3rd in wind energy in the U.S.). Anyway, Discovery Channel decided to do two TV episodes on this bike and so we hosted Paul Jr. and Mikey yesterday here in Iowa on a tour of our renewable energy businesses in Iowa, went to an ethanol plant, and wind farm. The Tuetuls are great guys and it was cool to hang out with them! They did the tour to get inspiration for building the chopper, which I understand will be 10 feet long and weigh about 700 pounds! We will be having the Tuetuls out to Iowa again when the bike is unveiled, Paul Sr., Jr. and Mikey will be here for that event. Anyway, just thought I would share my awesome day!

That is very cool. I heard that they are cool guys. The place that I work is going to have Mike Rowe of dirty jobs come down and to a transmission change on a helicopter.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.
