Camo Carnival

Hey, you warbird lovers out there (and you know who you are). Take a look-see at this ...

This thread is dedicated to the coolest, most sensational camouflage jobs in the world. Post a pic (or pics) of your most treasured warbird arrayed in your favorite paint job. It can of any plane, of any era, with any camo job. Perhaps you'd like to see this finish on a diecast model. Post your pic/s and tell us why it's a winner.

For me, the F/A -18 Hornet is one of the most sexy, scorching, lethal warbirds out there. And since the US Army arrays its personnel in "digital" camouflage-patterned ACUs, a pixilated pattern derived from the Marine Corps' "MARPAT" camo scheme, I figure America's warbirds can flaunt their own version, too (so did somebody else, apparently).

Kinda looks like WWI German Lozenge Camouflage, doesn’t it? Love that stuff.

Anyway, add your own favorites. Have fun!!!

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

Re: Camo Carnival

Now that is pretty wild.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Camo Carnival

I will throw in a pic of my new favorite Tomcat that I am trying to save from being scraped right now.

This pic was found on the internet while I was looking for Lindsay Lohan.

Re: Camo Carnival

IIRC correctly, this pic is actually photoshopped, but it is cool just the same..

Re: Camo Carnival

Wow I never knew they painted the computer scheme on these aircraft and the F-16 would be hard to see if you were looking down on it. Great photos! Alph

Not likely. The "missile" on the right wingtip is a dummy training round, as shown by the blue color of the body. Only the seeker head is real, no rocket motor...
