Re: MH II is BACK!

I found it rather humorous that some of the members of the other forums took joy in the fact that we were down.

That is crazy. They are just jealous that we have a better forum with better admins and moderators. Those other forums that thought it was funny that ours was down, they can kiss my pitot tube.

The UK forum actually welcomed the stranded members of this forum and so did many other forums, only a few select people rejoiced in the forum being offline..

Re: MH II is BACK!

Good to see you guys back in action.
The day MHII went down I put up a post on FDA asking for into on what was going on.
From that day on we had a few threads pop up about MHII.
I made sure they all those threads were placed in the same section section so people like Harry, Starman & others could relay info to MHII members.
I hope that helped at least in a small way.

I feel your pain Gavin, my hosting company has gone down a few times as well as been hacked, it's never fun.
BTW I'm surprised the British forum admins let you post about MHII at all, they seem to always censor any info about other forums (I was told I could no longer have FDA links in my sig or speak of my forums in any way over there). It's shame there are a lot of great members over there but sadly also lots of politics behind the scenes.
I have always been under the opinion that all the forums help each other out in some way or another & better things can be achieved by working together than tying to shut each other down.

Re: MH II is BACK!

I thought it was me...was starting to have withdraw pains.

Me too! Even re-formatted my machine in case it was me or my server.
Finally remembered Hawkone's site and fired an email to him.
Was quited reassuring to hear it would be temporary.
Sure was a shock to my old heart to find the forum gone.
Cruised through the other forums but they just don't cut it.

As someone who posts on both forums (DAF & The MHII) I would be disappointed to see either one have any kind of technical trouble. There was only some light hearted banter on DAF and, as Hworth18 says, quite a few members posted updates on the site.
