Re: MH II is BACK!

I think people overall support most of the forums & would hate to see anybody have trouble.
I post here on MHII the U.S. DA.C & of course FDA .
I have seen a few bad apples, haters or whatever you want to call them on all forums & sometimes it's not just limited to members but people behind the scenes to.
It's sad to see people take joy in the hard times of others but people do that in every walk of life, you just have to ignore them & keep moving.

Re: MH II is BACK!

I have posted this on another thread but here it is again.

Thanks for the explanation Gavin and the great effort you put into all of this, we owe you a great big THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

Personally I think we also should thank our British Forum friends (Diecast Aviation Website and Forum) for allowing all of us to start and continue a thread all about the problems of another forum. Without them we all would have been in the dark for a long time. Thanks guys.

As for some on other forums enjoying the outage, well you will always find a few that enjoy watching others go without. I'm sure there are a few on this forum that would do the same if it happened elsewhere. But you will always find these no matter where or what the situation is. The thing to remember is the majority didn't seem to take pleasure and they allowed people from another forum to use some of their space. Thanks guys, it's nice to know we can count on each other when the chips are down, or in this case the forum is down.

Re: MH II is BACK!

Good to see you guys back in action.
The day MHII went down I put up a post on FDA asking for into on what was going on.
From that day on we had a few threads pop up about MHII.
I made sure they all those threads were placed in the same section section so people like Harry, Starman & others could relay info to MHII members.
I hope that helped at least in a small way.

I feel your pain Gavin, my hosting company has gone down a few times as well as been hacked, it's never fun.
BTW I'm surprised the British forum admins let you post about MHII at all, they seem to always censor any info about other forums (I was told I could no longer have FDA links in my sig or speak of my forums in any way over there). It's shame there are a lot of great members over there but sadly also lots of politics behind the scenes.

And I want to personally thank you for that, Phantom Phan! I enjoyed getting the info on MH II, and also enjoyed my "home away from home."

Re: MH II is BACK!

I know nothing of other forums. I was a good boy and patiently waiting for the return of TMH2. I had fun with the FDA, hopefully time will allow many more returns.

Ah, it's good to see the hangout back up! Though I must say it was disturbing how much more productive I was during the downtime...

Smile Re: MH II is BACK!

I'm just very glad to be back. I post on both forums too. I reckon I need both, the perspectives are often quite different. A big thank you to Gavin and the team getting us back up and running. My world wouldn't be the same without you all.
