Re: One handed Mike

Gee wizz, Blackie!....Poor Mikey doesn't need anyone having fun at his expense....I once had hand surgery leaving me "one pawed" for a time. I found that an old music stand was perfect for holding the magazine open for me, and I was able to carry on like nothing had ever happened....

Just WHAT are you implying? To exactly WHAT magazine are referring, humm?

Re: One handed Mike

Thank you Skunkie, Capt. Eddie, Gort and David C. for stepping -up when needed. I was growing concerned by the outright compassion displayed by many members to our dear friend's plight. To demonstrate such concern, charity and compassion to a fellow member in need is just intolerable and sets a bad precedent. And need I remind everyone this IS mikeb1958 we are talking about?!
We are, after all, his friends. And friends aren't there to provide rainbows, fuzzy kittens, and bluebirds when a friend is in need. They are there to provide humor at that person's expense and to remind them of their proper place in the world.*

*Just in case this is taken too seriously, I honestly hope for nothing but the best for mikeb and that his recovery is swift and complete.

Re: One handed Mike

Mike, hopefully you are still able to operate the TV remote & open a beer.

My father had this procedure years ago due to tingling in his fingers & numbness, were these the same symptoms for you ?

Thanks! Haven't been on here today until just now. Was 'doped' up and feeling no pain. Can't have a beer due to the meds though I would like one...or two. Though the meds make you tinkel more than a heinkel. Wonder what that is all about? Yes, I have numbness in both fingers and handls and tingling as well. Damn, this one finger typing! Guess its time to get 'meded up' again.

It's all good! My dear brothern, thanks for your concern and jokes, you are the best! After this heals, I have to have the same surgery done on the other hand. Now that will be a since I am right handed anyway.

No I can't do it, this topic is way too easy to get in trouble over. David Cotton got me laughing though.
I too have a couple of friends that have been through this and ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, good news, it worked perfectly, they are back to full manual dexterity.
The first few days are the worst Mike,at least you will be excused chores for a while.

God Bless America.
