Re: What Military Aircraft have you Flown on?

OK, I know this is not fair, but here it goes:

As rated pilot: T-37, T-38, F-111A, F-111F, F-16C (2,500 hours total)

As "guest pilot" (one flight, two-seater): Mirage V (Belgian Air Force)

In co-pilot seat for part of flight: C-130E

In co-pilot seat for whole flight: Gazelle (French Army helo), OH-58D

As passenger: C-130, C-141, C-5, C-12, C-20, C-21, C-23 (Sherpa), C-9, C-2 (Navy Greyhound going to the carrier USS Kitty Hawk, one trap and one cat shot), T-41, UH-1, UH-60, CH-47, Mi-8 and Mi-24 (Czech Republic) and AC-130H (got to shoot the 105mm and 40mm on Grafenwoehr range, Germany).

I have fought in simulated air combat against: F-14A, F-18A/C, F-15C, F-4, Mirage 2000C, F-5E, and of course other F-16s.

I hope some day to fly in a B-17...

Re: What Military Aircraft have you Flown on?

Vipe - You get the "most flown" award I would say! When I thought of putting this thread up, I figured there must be a bunch of the members that have flown a lot of different aircraft. I wonder if any of our members from other worlds (UK, France, Melmac, etc) have flown any that us U.S. types haven't had the opportunity to?

Thanks, but actually if there is an "award," I'm taking myself out of the competition due to unfair advantage. I hope I did not discourage anyone else from posting something in this thread, that was not my intention. Please let us know what you have flown in (as pilot or passenger)!

And like I said, I'm still looking forward to fly in a B-17 someday (maybe even P-51...).

Re: What Military Aircraft have you Flown on?

Erm, I flew in a Junkers 52 once and I sat in a Spitfire ooooh I did aerobics in a Chipmunk once!! (plus lots of light aircraft stuff over the years but I dont suppose they count) OK I meant aerobatics but I thought aerobics sounded funny err oh well please yourself. (BTW I wasnt sick at all doing aerobatic stuff, it was great although we must have flown through a tunnel at one point cos it went all dark for a few seconds).

God Bless America.

PT 17 twice, an AT 6 once, and a B 17 once. Non military: a 1925 Mail plane, a helicoptor, and a pusher Seaplane when I was a wee lad.

Re: What Military Aircraft have you Flown on?

I've been up in a T-6 and L-39. Got to sit up in the cockpit of a C-47 that flew on a drop during the D-Day operations but never had a chance to go up in her. A thrill nonetheless.

Anything for a weird life.

C-2 Greyhound trap/cat on STENNIS and VINSON. Passenger only. Traps are quick and hard, cat shots are loads of fun!

Re: What Military Aircraft have you Flown on?

Do the aircraft in Aces High count? If so, I've got hundreds of hours in P-51s, 47s, 38s etc., over the last 3 years on medical leave . . .

Not sure if it counts as military or not, but got a flight in a PT-17 shortly after getting my Private Pilot's License - that was a blast!
