Fetish, anyone?

Is it wrong to be fixated on one particular plane? Or tank? Or whatever?

We're not talkin' about respect or appreciation or mild adoration of, say, the Spit or the Mustang. We're talkin' about unreasonably excessive attention or reverence toward a model, to the point of obsessive preoccupation or attachment.

'Cause truth be told, I really dig the Witty Su-27. I own 'em all (plus Gaincorp's Sukhois), and I'm going to order the latest little Witty '27 the second it hits the market. Don't know what it is, but I can't get enough of 'em.

It's almost embarrassing, but “enthusiastic” doesn't define my devotion to this Russian beauty. I wouldn't exactly call it a fetish, but it comes close.

Do any of you guys feel the same way about a particular aircraft type and/or model?

Re: Fetish, anyone?

Wrong? Wrong? Does not compute.. does not compute...

Myself, I'm afflicted with "Corsairus Gottahavus" so no, I say it's normal Gort -- keep snapping 'em up. However, if you ask Mrs. Gort to pose with a Witty Su-27 or something like that... then, yes, I think there MAY be a problem.

(but the Su-27 -- all the sukhois, for that matter, are very cool -- I've got a Witty and several Gaincorps... they just look wicked -- like something out of Star Wars...)

I've always been a little partial toward Heidi Klum. Speaking strictly intellectually, of course, since I'm happily married.

SPITFIRES!

I love Spitfires. When I was a teenager, my friends and I decided that certain girls would be called by the names of airplanes that we liked when we were conversing in public, so that we could enjoy a little bit of privacy. My first crush was Spitfire Mk I. I married Mk IX. I have more Spitfires than any other plane in my collection - 12 out of 90 plans are Spits.

Re: Fetish, anyone?

Gort, I can see you being "fixated" on the Su-27 (nice looking jet for sure), but not the Witty rendition. It is not a very good likeness in the canopy area, I hope you've notices that. The Gaincorps are much better in that respect.

Gort, is that another Sukhoi Flanker variant: NATO codename "Foxxy"??? I would fancy an ACM with her anytime, baby!
