Spring Wonderland

Is it April...or January?
I took this shot off my back deck a couple hours ago....thought you guys (especially in the southern climes) might get a laugh out of it.(I don't think it's too funny)

...and now we're expecting major high winds and severe flooding within the next few hours. Those heavily laden branches ought to be snapping like twigs!......Is this what MoMo's been warning us about???

What's the weather like where you guys live?

I use to live in Iowa for 35 yrs. but your scene, all be it beautiful, just reinforces why I moved to Texas. Ahh a balmy 72 today.

Lol, I looked at your pic and thought how much some parts of the US looked like Australia, then I noticed you live in Australia

Skunky, wouldn't it be nice to have scenes like your backyard - without the cold.

Re: Spring Wonderland

Hi Skunky,
It's Spring for sure out here in the Pacific NorthWest. But this is also where all the weather for the rest of the US begins. We've been in the 50's windy/rainey/snizzle/lightning
Very intresting to watch these patterns. They say we're the only place in the world that displays micro Climates. meaning I could ride my bike out in the rain and a mile away it would be sunny. They're still running the Boston Marathon!!!!! Alph

Re: Spring Wonderland

In Orlando, Florida now at 9:10 AM, it is 54 degree with wind blowing about 8 knots. Below average tempertures and I love it! Was 90 degrees 3 days ago on Friday, a record high for here. I like the cooler weather and looking forward to moving outta here as soon as a insurance dispute is settled, extra $$$$ to help move. Want to be out of here in the next year or less. Hurry up lawyers!

Anyone want to buy a 1950 square foot house built in 1999, 3.5 bedroom, 2 bath., 2 car garage with big attic and valted ceilings. Tiled floor kitchen, game room, and living room and hallways. Large pool and hot tub connected on the back patio that is competely inclosed with solar heating for the pool. In a gated community with a natural "Florida" backyard that is on a conversation lot, so that can never be built on either. NO backyard neighbors EVER. Palm trees in the front and back yards--sorry, have to buy your own hammack. Just 30 min drive (or less) to Sea World and Disney, SUPER close to Kissimmee, less than 5 minutes and 30 mins to Downtown Orlando. IM me if seriously interested.

Re: Spring Wonderland

Last few days here have seen temperatures well above average. Its really weird. When I was a lad there were 4 seasons now its just a mix of all of them.
Yesterday it was 70F, unheard off in these parts.
However beware, I think its just the weather playing tricks, next week it could just as easy be wind rain and Tornado Typhoon Tempest and Hurricane with the odd Whirlwind thrown in for good measure. (just slipped in a plane reference there, did you notice)?

God Bless America.
