Re: Spring Wonderland

WELCOME BACK, Gort! Long time no hear from you. What have you been up to? Nice to see you back in the forum.

Hey, flyX! How's it goin', buddy?!! I ... erm ... I've been gadding about the galaxy collecting – dare I say it – 1/32 Forces of Valor and 21st Century AFVs and fighters. I'll fill you in later, but suffice it to say, I bought everything they make. Whoa!!! Wait a minute ... my helmet is on the fritz. Catch you later!!!

Re: Spring Wonderland

Welcome Back Gorto!!! Missed ya bud....

Thanks, Harry! Missed you, too!!! (Awwwh, shucks!!! ) Remind me to tell you about my 1/32 FOV & 21st Century acquisitions. I went absolutely ape crazy, emptied my bank account, and purchased every single 1/32 fighter 21st Century makes (and believe me, some of those planes are practically impossible to find), along with every FOV 1/32 AFV available – including the Action Series models. Nutzo, huh?

Needless to say, I'm pretty hot on these models. Loads of 'em are discontinued and extremely rare, which makes them that much more desirable. Love 'em to pieces. I'll begin a thread about them soon.

By the way, you'll really dig this ...

21st Century just issued an extremely cool, absolutely exquisite Bf-109 f-2/f-4 in Russian winter camo. I couldn't believe my luck, but I found one sitting all by its lonesome on a Walmart shelf recently. It's dingy white overall, sports a bold yellow cowling with a black nose, a red devil-like caricature toward the prop, a yellow fuselage band and a large yellow “6.” My gadfry, this is an absolute must have.

Glad to hear you've caught the 1/32 bug!! If I had known you were looking for 1/32 stuff, I have a bunch of it cheap..
I am looking for the "Yellow 6" 109F as it will be a nice addition to my 109 collection, but I will wait till it eventually gets to my AO..

Harry, if I bump into another, I'll ring out loud and clear. I'll tell ya, I was never a '109 enthusiast, but these birds turned me. Especially the big-nosed "F" and "G" models. Wow! The pilots are cool, too. Did I say "Wow"? I meant WOW!!!

You'll think this is kind of nutzo, too, but I purchased two 21st Century 1/18 Sabres and one Mig-15 (the tiger striped one). Love the subjects, but up to now I felt this scale was too friggin' big! Still do, I guess (had to shoehorn the bloody things into my closet), but the models were just too beautiful not to get. Glad I did. You can almost step into their cockpits. (If it weren't for my prodigious, bungling robot body, I'd even try!)

I agree.. I also picked up the Tigerstriped Mig at clearance prices ($15) then had to buy a Sabre so it would have something to dogfight with.. I had to get the Avenger when it went on clearance for $18.. Just couldn't pass it up..
