| Lancer on it's haunches ![]() ![]() Images courtesy of Christoph Kugler Ellsworth AFB October 22, 2000 - The tail-sitting incident involving USAF/28th BW/37th BS B-1B 86-0094 'EL' took place at the aircraft's home base, Ellsworth, South Dakota. It also therefore had nothing at all to do with "ground crews unfamiliar with the correct filling sequence for the fuel tanks," as had been reported previously. It was not one of ten B-1Bs temporarily deployed to NAS Fort Worth JRB/Carswell, these all being aircraft from Dyess AFB, Texas. | |||||||||||||
