Re: New Additions to Your Collection

Three birds from Franklin Mint touched down at DiecastAce Field in the past week:

Rozzie Geth II P-47 (very nice -- got it to replace the Corgi version that I sold off last year)
Col Tomb/Toon/Yes I Know Skunky You Say He Never Existed Mig-17 -- also a good model that fits in well with my Phantom display...
Richthofen Phantom, which I've been wanting for a long time.... excellent model

Now, NO MORE Franklin Mint!

(ok, until the next killer sale, most likely... )

PappyB, the desert/Meditteranean 'Wasser' Stuka is still available for $35 at the Flying Mule sale and is well worth it - excellent camo. scheme and reasonably good detail (no retractable landing gear option on this particular Ju 87 though ).

(A little 'wasser' sprinkled on Skunky's new avatar may be interesting though.)

Thanx, Art. I've already taken care of that! They are such swell folks, aren't they?

"THanks Card" for trying to help me "stop"

While that STuka looks good, I will pass (mark this date on your calendar gents!) -- I am done with FM stukas... (I've got enough in 1:72 and I prefer them to FM's casting). Though I must admit your retractable gear comment is lost on me

Just my feeble (and apparently unsuccessful) attempt at humour PappyB . At least the fixed 'gear down' criticism can't be leveled at this particular piece of diecast given the non-retractable nature of the Ju87 undercart .

Well Cardinal I hate to bring this up but there was indeed a Stuka with a retractable undercart.
I am 100% certain because a few years ago I saw the photies!

Re: New Additions to Your Collection

Beginning this past December, I have been on a die cast spree as it has been hard to resist the various sales. As a result, I've added the following to my airfield:

Corgi
  1. Halifax (AA37201)
  2. Spitfire - PR (AA31928)
  3. F-86 Sabre (US35810)
  4. Swordfish - FAA (AA36305)
  5. Wessex helicopter (AA37601)
  6. Sea King helicopter (AA33410)
  7. B-52 (AA33505)
  8. Lancaster - en route (AA32609)
  9. Jaguar - en route (AA35409)
GMP
  1. P-51D "Cripes A'Mighty" - damaged when received. may go back to seller if replacement part cannot be found.
Century Wings
  1. A-6 Intruder "Moonlighters"
Franklin Mint
  1. Japanese Zero "Rufe" floatplane
  2. F-86 Sabre "Gabreski"
  3. Mig-15 "Pepylov"
Needless to say my credit card is a smoking ruin. I need to sell-off a few items to pay for a couple of gems waiting in the wings for me.
