Reign of the Gargoyles, one of the worst WWII movies ever

On the sci-fi channel tonight, Nazis bring gargoyles to life. Said gargoyles then start destroying formations of B-17's, Germans, civilians, anything they get their grimy mitts on. Even get to see He 111's wasted by these critters. Absolutely horrible movie but my twisted brain made me watch it just to see the B-17's and He 111's battle monsters.

Re: Reign of the Gargoyles, one of the worst WWII movies ever

Yeah - I taped that Sat. night, then watched it Sunday (FFing through the commercials). It was a mindless hour and 20 minutes - however I DID NOT stop watching it till it was over (nor did it put me to sleep). I did enjoy the air sequences (but NO comparison to the B-17 animated story in the movie Heavy Metal from '79(?) ) The HE 111 was pretty cool. And I think there was a JU 88 or 2.

Anyway - goofy waste of a couple hours - if you have the time its probably worth a view, but I wouldn't recommend seeking it out as quality TV.

Well in the end who won ?
I'm sure the Gargoyles ended up somewhere during that crazy movie.

The scifi movie RotG is just as cheesy as "SS Doomtroopers" (how many of you saw that stinker?) that was aired on the SciFi Channel last year. The B-17, Ju-88 and He-111
were ok scenes and I think there was a fighter there as well, IIRC. Who won the battle, JP asks....you gotta watch the whole thing!

Oh heck...I'll just set my DVR and watch it later on.
My kids will watch i bet since they like Gargoyles.
I remember the SS Doomtroopers on Sci-Fi and i thought it was silly.

If one is to believe history, the allies won.

Worst WWII movie ever, or best Gargoyle movie ever? I guess it's all how you look at it...

Actually, "Gargoyles" a 1972 flic starring Cornel Wilde was pretty good.
