Re: Nice Things to Talk About

Oh no guys.....Not again...MoMo you have got to be kidding me starting another thread that could end up like the other one
that got shut down.

Dear Starman,

read back through the posts on the " Flower Arranging for Men" thread. I posted on a strictly neutral policy. That thread got shot down despite the fact that i was discussing stuff like old TV, plants, gardening, etc. I posted a warning at the start of this thread asking people to post on topics which guys discuss in pubs and that if anyone has a political axe to grid, they should post their own thread so that it can be zapped!

As I stated before, I take this seriously and I am seriously hacked off that anyone should put in jeopardy a fun thread that many members seem to enjoy ( from the volume of hits and posts ). What the hell is a PUB thread for if we can't kick the dictionary about?

As I said at the start of the " Flower Arranging for Men " thread, I was hacked off when that was closed without discussion or explanation or redress. The same thing has happened again. Was this a fault on my part?

Keep it happy Guys!

MoMo

Re: Nice Things to Talk About

Explanations are not required, though it should be obvious. As stated before, I and the moderators are tired of having to babysit problematic threads on this forum. We do have better things to do you know. If it's your thread you manage the conversation and we will not have too. I've stated my opinion on such threads and these comments have gone unnoticed, so I'm just going to start to delete threads. Don't blame us for putting out fires that you and/or others start.

With respect, Admin, explanations are what distinguishes us from those who seek to disrupt our basic freedoms.

This time a perfectly harmless thread has been torpedoed because I was away for the weekend and a freeflowing discussion on the topics which I and others have steered away from ensued. I do try to steer the discussion away from the obviously narrow and specific as regards to politics. Read back through the thread and this becomes obvious. I know that your time is limited, but please do not lay blame at doors where it does not belong. Every one of us has a socio-political philosophy to promote, but if you want to discuss it, do it elsewhere in the forum....or elsewhere in the universe.

I started the last thread in good faith. I start this one in the hope that people take it for granted that they can discuss just about anything which will not start a prelude to WW3.
