I know...I know... MoMo ran out of honeysuckle!

Alph and I did our little mea culpa, so let's move on. It's not worth stroking out over it! As Snoop Dog says, "Let's chill...."

Re: Nice Things to Talk About

Warhawk, leave that cute kitty-cat alone. It looks as if it's about to undergo a well-known vetinarian procedure which tom-cat's hate, and which they know nothing about until they wake up bewildered and realise that they have lost their bearings!

Or is it just having a kip?

Let us be thankful that we're not cats. What am I saying, all the sleep and food you can eat, and nothing to do all day to justify your existence except stare at bugs and purr for the humans every so often! Where do I start?

( retain your enthusiasm for THAT operation though, a fellow must have some fun! )

Re: Nice Things to Talk About

Spam is what they used to make fritters with when I was at school. My dear old mother also made them. Spam sandwiches used to be popular too.

It tastes like Spam! Nothing in the world tastes like it. This begs the question, why are they reviving the brand?

Re: Nice Things to Talk About

Hi MoMo,
We use Spam in our Camping mulligan Stew. Recipe includes diced potatoes browned to perfection Salt/pepper dice the spam and cover with Eggs and simmer. Serve with toast! Great camping food. It comes in turkey too. Use to be considered poor folk food, but it's spendy in it's own right! And "yes" There is nothing like a nice Spam sandwich with whole wheat and Mayo. Alph

Thanks, Hworth18. I think that this is a fair outcome.

It tastes like Spam! Nothing in the world tastes like it. This begs the question, why are they reviving the brand?

I'll tell you why:

Well, there's egg and bacon; egg, sausage, and bacon; egg and SPAM;
egg, bacon, and SPAM; egg, bacon, sausage and SPAM; SPAM, bacon,
sausage, and SPAM; SPAM, egg, SPAM, SPAM, bacon, and SPAM; SPAM, SPAM,
SPAM, egg, and SPAM; SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, baked beans,
SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, and SPAM; or lobster thermidor aux crevettes with
a mornay sauce garnished with truffle pate, brandy, and a fried egg
on top and SPAM.**

Re: Nice Things to Talk About

Corn bread is another favorite of mine! That and real Bisquick biscuits. Nothing like a great pot roast with taters veges gravy and a huge REAL biscuit! Hmmmm You know McDonald's is trying out Angus Burgers now? But I don't think McDonald's should be substituted for home cooking how ever if your out and about and need a quick meal well then why not! Taco time also has been pushing a mexifry platter that looks Fraught with cholesterol another out and about place to eat!!Alph
