Re: Nice Things to Talk About

Six months after these things get issued you will be able to buy them down at the local pub for a few quid (pounds)
Jim

Are you talking about the I.D. cards or the plane/car?

I just got a new computer---a laptop---and I'm using it without a mouse. It's a real pain because my skills are not 21st century !

I know exactly what you mean Mo.
My son has been visiting for a few days and like most of his generation uses a computer with complete ease.

He cannot understand why I seem to have an abundance of problems with the durn things!

Now if these things worked using gears wheels and pulleys then I would have no problem at all.

btw I was meaning ID cards of course, wow if I could go down to my local and buy one of those cars for a few pounds I would have em all.

God Bless America.

Re: Nice Things to Talk About

I'm watching what seems to be a new version of " Bravo Two Zero " entitled : " The One That Got Away ".

Why the new version ?

( I think that I like the older version better )

Re: Nice Things to Talk About

When I was a wee Cpl. going thru the LRRP course in Germany, that book was all the rage. Well it was being used as an example of what happens to you when you don't follow your own SOPs. It was definately a raw deal those guys got.

Re: Nice Things to Talk About

I don't think that McNab and Ryan agree as to exactly what happened on that mission.....

Re: Nice Things to Talk About

Cheers Guys,

I think that the new version seemed to have been more brutal than the first. Certainly, the torture of the SAS captives seemed more brutal. Also, the SAS dispatching of Iraqis was depicted in a more graphic manner.
