Re: Back on Line!!!!

It's really great that the Hangar is back online - like most of you I was starting to miss this place .

As regards the British forum, we should try not engage from our side in any forum bashing as there are many members who enjoy and support both forums . Also, I believe most members of the UK forum are well disposed towards us .

Although schadenfreude was in clear evidence from some of their members, one should remain aware that such opinions reflect those of the individuals making them and do not necessarily represent the views of the majority at the DAF (Diecast Aviation Forum) members - believe me, I understand how some of you felt, as I was also miffed by some of the disparaging comments made.

Re: Back on Line!!!!

Here, here. When you check a site daily, multiple times on days off, you really miss it when its not there. It was good to have a fallback in DA to find out what was going on, but they really take it too seriously....I think. Great to have everyone back. Might have to think of generating a emergency email list in case something like this happens again, just so we can keep each other in the loop if one were to have the inside track.

Cheers, back to my vintning. Chardonnay anyone?

SM

I think, Schrage Musik has a great idea in the email list. Don't know how it could be implemented but worth a try.

Agreed, the disparaging remarks were only made by a select few, with the majority of the remarks being favorable to the US forum getting back online..

Re: Back on Line!!!!

Glad to see you back! As a member of both forums I hope that the comments of a few members (on both sides) don't give the wrong impressions. I wish I could post more but just don't have the time. As expected, there are always different opinions which we can discuss - that is the point of living in the free world!!!!

Just keep that credit card updated!!

Re: Back on Line!!!!

Something about changing credit cards. I read that on the British forum Diecast Aviation. From reading a few of their comments, they don't to seem to have a very high regard for this site. Can't figure out how anyone could knock a free site.

I misspoke here, should have said "a few of their members" instead of "they".

Re: Back on Line!!!!

Bloody hell!, I like the guys at the U.K forum....I have to read their posts a little more slowly because of the language barrier, but all-in-all they seem to be an okay and good-humo(u)red bunch to me (after all, it's the habitat of the notorious Lofty and Agent X20!)...I seldom post there though (and I do it under an alias) because I'm afraid of offending the queen.

I'm confused...
MoMo, ya mean you haven't been using a Scottish/English translation dictionary to communicate with us?....

You should be afraid of offending the Queen ( Tony Blair ). What happened to Gardening for Men? I was just there, then it wasn't! I mean, I go away for a few days and come back to find that my PC-non contraversial-thread on plants, TV and stuff has been zapped! What is happening to all of us? My God, it's like a nuclear melt-down!

What's this thread about anyway?!??!!??

Last time I spoke to Lizzy she said you were an OK kind a guy Skunky so dont worry you wont be sent to the tower.
Anyway she one of the gang she collects Corgis.

BTW, Dont take any notice of the guys on the UK site. British Humour is a bit weird and does not travel well.
Well apart from Mr Bean and Benny Hill.
One of the main reasons I like this place is that its made up of people from all over the world. Broadens the mind and lets me see how others view things.
In any case America is so big that it does not have one view on things but many and varied views. Its part of what makes it a great and fascinating country.

God Bless America.
