........ try a ........ Supermarine Sea-Otter ............ the 'update' with the engine facing the right way round !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would buy this one for sure !!!

But not even a single injection plastic kit has ever been made of it... (to my knowledge)

I found a company that makes a kit of the Supermarine Sea Otter II. Company that makes this aircraft is Aeroclub. They make a 1/72nd scale model of this plane and it looks pretty good.

Thought of two more aircraft I would like to see done up in diecast. The Blohm und Voss BV.141B and the Focke Wulf Fw 189 would make an interesting pair sitting next to each other. Both offer some of the more interesting aircraft greenhouses and potential for some extensive detailing. The BV 141 with its asymmetrical design would really stand out in a collection.

I'm for these Russian planes too but in 1:72. I'd also like a Macchi 202 or 205. The IXO ones aren't good enough.

I always like the looks of the cowling on the Macchi 200.

Re: What WWII planes would you like to see in diecast?

There is definitely a gap in diecast as far as Japanese bombers go. Marushin did put out the Betty, but one I would really like to see done in diecast would be the Misubishi G3M Nell. There is alot of glass on this one and I really like the big glassed in dorsal postion. I really like the twin rudder layout on this aircraft too. There is a good selection of American bombers, Britain is fairly well represented, German bombers are a little on the slim side, but for the most part nothing much in respect to coverage of those used by Japan.

I still want to see a beautiful B-29 in a 1/72, yes it will be big, but I will make room for it!

There seems to be a lot of interest in the B-29 in 1:72 scale. For me, that's just too big. The Stirling would be the largest I'd wish to entertain. I'd still like to see a 3 finned Manchester first though! (I know, I know -- I sound like a busted record)
