The Supermarine Walrus, now that would make a good 1/48th scale die cast model. You get a biplane and a seaplane all rolled into one, what could be cooler. Never would get made, but sure would have the detail potential.

Here's my choices to add to the poll that's not a poll- all in 1/72nd- Consolidated PB4Y Privateer (along with a USN version of the B-24); Martin PBM Mariner; and the Martin Mars family of flying boats.
Would also like to see a Soviet version of the B-25.

Exclamation Re: What WWII planes would you like to see in diecast?

Blimey, J.P.N. you don't want much !!!!!!!!

Can't EVER imagine any company risking their corporate-neck on a re-tooled (early) B.17 - or Mk.1 Blenheim (same reason)

A Manchester - that would be luscious & exotic, but singular Colour-scheme would kill sales potential (even though it's lovely !)

A SHORT STIRLING...... boy, that would sell like Hot-Cakes & Ice-cold Beer !!!!!!!!!!!

. . . . Aah, an Airspeed Envoy - sleek bird, but wishful thinking !!!!!!!!!

Hey! This is all about 'dreaming and scheming'. It has really very little to do with the reality of the diecast biz. Someone asks me my opinion, I'm going to answer. Regardless your opinion (which you are entitled to) I still want EVERYTHING on that list -- specifically the Envoy, Stirling and Manchester (with the triple rudders!)

Manchester (with the triple rudders!)

If you have to wish on a Manchester that version would be to one for me too. Handley Page Hampden would be another good looking RAF bomber (No need to make the Hereford though.).

Thought of another RAF bomber we probably will never see made. The Armstrong-Whitworth Whitley would make nice bomber to park next to the Wellington.

Re: What WWII planes would you like to see in diecast?

I would like to see a A-20, P-61, Kingfisher, A-26, SB2C, F8F, F7F, all in 1/48th

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

MD, like your chosen ones (aah.... men..brother) .....Here are my choices, a few from many. Bristol Blenheims Mks I....IV.....Handley Page Hamden...Ilyushin II-4.....Junkers JU 188....Italian CANT Z. 1007 Alcione...And the French multi roled aircraft Potez 63.11. All japanese Bombers would also be acceptable.1:144 scale would suffice. as I have issues with space.
