| Re: What WWII planes would you like to see in diecast? Just thought of another aircraft (Actually aircraft combo) that would look great in 1/72nd diecast. The Ju 88 Mistel would definitely be a head turner. You also could produce early version with BF 109F control aircraft or latter operationl Fw 190A control aircraft. Since Corgi already has molds, would not think it would be completely out of the realm of possibility. | |||||||||||||

Blimey, J.P.N. you don't want much !!!!!!!! Can't EVER imagine any company risking their corporate-neck on a re-tooled (early) B.17 - or Mk.1 Blenheim (same reason) A Manchester - that would be luscious & exotic, but singular Colour-scheme would kill sales potential (even though it's lovely !) A SHORT STIRLING...... boy, that would sell like Hot-Cakes & Ice-cold Beer !!!!!!!!!!! (You, Me, & a million others, form an orderly queue, (judging by posts I've read on various other forums, plus this one !) Could do a Belgian civilian version, Postwar RAF Transport (silver), or an Egyptian A.F. Bomber, as used in several 1948 raids !!!!! (yes, I DID say 1948 !!!!!!!!!), against the Israeli's. Shame there's not even ONE example left in existence, anywhere in the World, for Corgi to 'crawl' over, & take dimensions...... (like they - apparently - did, with the Halifax) Aah, an Airspeed Envoy - sleek bird, but wishful thinking !!!!!!!!! Personally, I can't fathom out why no-one's attempted to do a Dornier 17 ??????????????? (loadsa colour-scheme's, too !)

| Re: What WWII planes would you like to see in diecast? Thought of some more possibilities that would look great in 1/72nd scale. Assault gliders, difinitely something to think about, and would be great when matched up with a C-47, Ju 52, or even a He-111. You also have a fairly nice selection to work with too and sure would add a different twist to an aircraft collection. | Re: What WWII planes would you like to see in diecast? Ok, if you went with the glider idea probably would want to see the twin He-111 glider tug variant too. | |||||||||||||

| Re: What WWII planes would you like to see in diecast? 1/72 Helldiver please! (I'm talking to you Hobby Master!) Three tone and dark sea blue. We've got Wildcats, Hellcats, Corsairs, Dauntless's's's, Avengers...What's the missing main ingredient to our 1/72 diecast carrier forces? The Helldiver! I don't care how hard the 1/1 plane was to control, I don't have to fly it, I just have to put the model on a stand and place it on a shelf. I also want an A26 Invader. Bigger than a fighter, but certainly not the biggest diecast ever made. I just love it. Got to have it. | |||||||||||||

| Re: What WWII planes would you like to see in diecast? Thought of a couple more planes that would look great in either 1/72nd or 1/48th scale. Corgi put out some nice Lysanders, but it sure would be nice see the Henschel Hs. 126 and the Fieseler Fi. 156 Storch. Previous post was right on the money about needing the Helldiver to flush out the US Navy aircraft (Of course I would like to see the Devastor too). | |||||||||||||

| Re: What WWII planes would you like to see in diecast? It has been mentioned on this thread that the PZL 23 Karas would be good looking possibility. It got me to thinking (Which is a dangerous thing), and it definitely would be one think of in 1/48th scale. One nice thing about the plane is all that glass, talk about some areas just crying out for detail. Two open gun positions for even more detail, and a place to look in. With fixed gear it is already rigged to be displayed parked or in flight. The Pole's definitely put out some good looking planes. It is a sad thing that we will probably never see one in die cast though. ![]() | |||||||||||||

Although it missed WWII by 2 or 3 years, I'd like to see a Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar. Don't know why, but I've always liked that one..... ![]() ![]()

| Re: What WWII planes would you like to see in diecast?
Its ugly like all Cargo Aircraft thats for sure. We have one here, that acts as a rest stop for lazy birds. I know its out of the question but a 1/72nd C-130 would be nice. And maybe a C-141, and oh heck why not a C-17 to round out the birds I've jumped from.
