Shawn, I've heard that Scottish females are dangerous enough without a firearm

Re: Flower Arranging for Men

Dear Skunky,

you don't need to be initiated as a Scot; you are there already! If yer wee grannie was a Scot, then that makes you one too!

You do have to learn some of the lingo, though ( this applies to Black6 too! ) :

" Ma erse is gie'in me gyp! " ( I've a pain in the butt! )

" I'm intae ye' fa' here, Doll ! " ( I sure could go for you, Babe! )

" Gie's a hauf 'n a hauf !" ( I'll have a half pint of beer and a whiskey )

" Here's tae us, wha's like us? Damned few, an' their a' deid!" ( Here's to us, who's like us? Damned few, and they're all dead! ----A toast whch you drink among friends which is really meant to be self-mocking )

" Yon lassie's a wee herrie! " ( That girl has questionable morals ! )

" That cheese is pure mingin' ! " ( that cheese smells to high heaven! )

" Hey, Pal, gie's a brekk ! " ( Hey, Buddy, Gimme a break! )

and so on.........

On an aeronautical note, when a plane full of Scottish passengers on holiday, and after getting tanked up on the cheap booze, lands in Spain, it is not unusual for them to applaud and pass round the hat for the crew!

Jim, in Edinburgh on New Year's Eve there are a half-million people on the streets round Prince's Street, under the Castle who party all night and not one of them ever remembers The Bells! ( stroke of midnight when all the bells in the city are rung! )

We are all party animals ( in kilts )
