No ! Everyone who lived up the tree was a John Mills lookalike who was there to escape the malodourous attentions of one Skunky, who originated on that island, and was a pal of the baby elephant which helped to catch the tiger in the pit.

This tiger helped to scare the Malay pirates off after they had been softened up by coconut bombs and land-mines!

There were no robots, wooden or otherwise ( unless you count that kid's acting abilities ! )

Walt Disney has a lot to answer for in ......... !
