Re: 300

Took my 7 yr old to see it yesterday. I was impressed that at 7 yrs he could understand why the 300 stood thier ground. This will definately go in the collection of War Movies when its released on DVD. I may even go see it again. SPR was the only movie I saw twice in the theater.

Re: 300

My son Nicholas (the Marine) called and told me he went to see it. He said it was AWESOME! Translation - there's a good story, excellent special effects, and lots of violence. who-raaa!

Re: 300

Isn't this movie an another re-make? Wasn't there "300 Spartans" filmed in the 1950s?

Still, I'll get a DVD since 300 looks like a lot of fun.

Regards,

Sergey

Well, I just got back from seeing it. This is not a complaint but you can throw history out the window on this one. I found it entertaining though, and I was glad the this story was chosen by the studio. I don't know that I would recommend it for kids, aside from the blood there's quite a bit of nudity and some rather ....hmm how should I say.."comprehensive" sex scenes in it.

Three out of five stars.

True history may be out the window, but what I did like is the interest stirred in my 7 yr old. And that impresses me, to see him want to know more about the story and what happened. The nudity, while there isn't as bad or over done. Its far from Porky's on that note.
