Re: Random Rants

I had a momentary lapse of reason Gentlemen when model collecting became left of center. Any statements I made were off the cuff and only for a laugh not to insight an Orgy Alph

Me too.

Re: Random Rants about P40s

Anyway how about this diary entry of Ed Milucks,

On the second sortie we were attacked by several Me109s, and I squirted at one for a long time. When the next one came bye I remembered to switch on my gun sight and did much better. FLT SGT Rodney forgot to come back, and an Englishman bought it this morning making the score two to one , not in our favour. Wally tangled with a dozen Macchi 202s and Me109s but escaped with four cannon slugs in his cockpit and minor holes in the fuselage and wing. When he crash landed on the airfield the poor kite just sighed and collapsed, So did Wally!

God Bless America.

Re: Random Rants

Here's a short story about the importance of the pre flight check beyond the 5 foot perimeter of a Llama helicopter. This story was told by a current pilot of Northwest Airlift in Seattle. So I completed my walk around and got settled in these very uncomfortable seats. Got all the gauges in sinc and began the ignition sequence. When the preasure reads 75% I hit the igniter box and release the rotor break. The blades come up to speed quickly and as the tourque reads 90% I begin to add collective. As I began to lift a Tarp from my right flew over and wrapped into the mains. As I was ten feet in the air I had little time to react and was forced into either hitting the Hanger or mess up and APU cart. I hit the Cart and destroyed the canopy and the left landing strut. True Story! Alph

Re: Random Rants

Nice Globemaster, but lets keep in mind that this is a "family oriented" forum....

Agreed, between this thread and the "Random Rants" one new low depths of sexist and vulgar behaviour are becoming evident and do not fall within the scope of acceptable humour or conduct that is expected from members of this forum . Keep the juvenile 'locker room' talk to the minimum or preferably take it elsewhere if you cannot contain yourselves ... Closing of threads and deletion of posts is not something we take lightly but will not hesitate to do so if this type of thing continues unabated.

Re: Random Rants

Quite right, Cardinal,

There is enough sexism out there in the real world without subjecting ourselves to pictures of shapely women in provocative poses which are calculated to evoke schoolboy ripostes!

I say, let's clean up this forum and never look at a woman again!

If I had never looked at a woman I would be a millionaire now.

But then again I would no doubt have spent it all on diecast!!!!!!!!!!
