We've had some really hot days lately, which is unusual for this time of year, it's almost like mid Summer. But at least we are still getting plenty of rain of an afternoon and at night as we were in drought for a while, but not as bad as most of Australia. The down side with warm weather year round is that fashion tends to suffer as shorts, short sleeve shirts and thongs (not the skimpy underwear) don't seem to attract the big fashion labels.

Of course there was a craze for pastels boosted by the Miami Vice tv years ago but luckily that died out, and Hawaian shirts are so yesterday The closest you can get to fashion in shorts and t-shirts is to wear some quasi surfer label like "Billabong" etc which many people do, or alternatively you go for the urban surfer/skate boarder street dude look. But at almost fifty years old I fear my days of looking hip in such cool gear is long past

It's a nice spring day a bit warmer than usual, there is already girls sunning them selves out by the pool. So it's even a better day.

I do not think any of you will have to worry about many more cold winters. I just returned from a trip to China this week. It seems our friend are not only good at producing mass quantities of cheap products, they also have cornered the market on producing more smog on a grander scale than anyone else in the world. I traveled in China for six days and over 5000 miles and never saw a blue sky, let alone the sun. Start stocking up on sun screen and beer guys, it’s going to get hot.
