A Tamiya Focke Wulf Fw 190 A-8/R2, flown by Unteroffizier (Corporal) Ernst Schröder, 5./JG 300, a Sturmgruppen unit. That one and the Hartmann are both plastic kit models but I still love 'em. The P-47 is one of the Tamiya Masterworks that come assembled and detailed.

Was ready to buy a Marushin Frank but Hobby Japan has not listed any for a while.

Detolf cabinets that held plenty of 1:72 sure fill up fast with the 1:48 birds and tanks.

That HM Spit will eventually be in the cabinet.

Nice gaggle of birds there Bill -- I take it a couple of those are Tamiya Masterwork pre-built models? (the little chief and maybe that 190 in the bottom?) Be curious to hear your assessment of those, if so...

I just finished building a few marushin birds -- great fun! That silver tony of yours has me itching to hit the ebay trigger again... looks very nice!

You and Harry are the cause of my financial demise with all those posts about the Marushins. Now I MUST HAVE THAT FRANK (silver of course). The Chief is a fantastic pre-built but I only think Tamiya made 2, the other being a Corsair. I would definitely recommend the Chief but have never seen any others. The Focke Wulf was done after this pilot http://members.aol.com/kaczmarek190/schroeder.htm.

Nice collection Bill. Thanks for posting the pics. Tamiya actually released three Masterworks aircraft in 1:48 scale (T-Bolt, Corsair, and Me 262 with clear platic see through into engine nacelles and fuselage), and an F-16 at 1:32. I pulled the trigger on the Corsair a while back from a vendor in Hong Kong, only to learn it was out of stock. Now I can't find it anywhere.
