I am also still interested in this idea and don't understand why we have not received any further response from management---even if it is nothing more that a call for more patience. I am tempted to suggest that those of us who participated so actively in this discussion initiate our own ongoing poll. We could state some simple rules and keep the idea "alive" by continuous postings so it always appears on the members' screens when they log in. If we go the "open ended" route, rather than listing a selection of likely candidates, this will require some tallying by hand on our part and good record keeping to avoid multiple entries by the same members. We could start with a particular scale (1:72 ) and ask voters to name a set number of their top choices --say five-- while not counting IXOs as already done. When a voter does not comply ( by listing only three planes or listing twenty ) we could ask for a clarification before accepting this particular vote. We could also report on our findings periodically and when we have exhausted the 1:72 scale category, we could move on to 1:48. What do you guys think?
