I might be more inclined to support the notion we intensely lobby Corgi to put this poll on THEIR web site (like Model Power does) and invite those who have sign-in privilidges for their 2 bits worth. As much as I love to collect the RAF birds, I also have a deep interest and growing collection of their 1:144 Civil Airliners too, (MORE Bristol Britannias, please!!) and I'm really only interested in stuff from Corgi.

Corgi could also use this as an online Marketing opportunity too -- if only they caught up with the 21st century. (*Ugh. They miss so many opportunities!*)

Now that you mention it, I also wonder why Dragon and Hobby Master, as well as Corgi, don't do such polls. They sound out dealers and retailers, evidentially, but not the people who actually buy their products. Makes no sense at all. You are also right that such polls are a valuable marketing tool. In addition to stimulating website traffic, they create a sense of consumer involvement and anticipation that has to boost future sales.

You get it perfectly! Now all that has to happen is for Corgi in the UK to. And from spending some time at their various sites, I really don't get a sense of confidence that Corgi completely understands how to fully exploit online opportunities to the fullest. This would apply to other manufacturers who are 'missing the boat' too, like the ones you highlighted. But I digress -- and apologize for it.

Oh man!...I hope not! Then it'll be that much longer before we see any models get produced from the results. We gotta have faith. Is management waiting for us to "sort out the details" (as hworth said) or are they doing that?

I think we should be patient on this one. It takes time to map out the kind of programming work needed to do a poll such as we were contemplating. Hopefully, once management gives this some thought, it will invite member comments on what elements should be included, definitional aspects, etc.
