One scale and one scale only - what would you choose? (aircraft & armour)

I was thinking (I know, a relatively new and untested skill for me) about what I would do if I was only allowed one scale for my diecast collection - a scale that would have to encompass both aircraft & armour.

I realised that for me the scale of choice would have to be 1/35, simply because these are the models perfected by both GMP and MiniChamps (1/48 would have to come a close second given EI and Carousel 1 products ).

1/72 simply out of size of the diecasts.

Considering I have a finite amount of space to work with, 1/72nd works best for me, so I would go with that....(I don't do armor, can I still play this game?)

No, you have to start an armor collection. Sorry!

Just kidding skunky. I think you're a swell guy. Just don't drink all my booze.

You "don't do" armour - what are you implying? I never knew that skunks were that discriminating ...

Grew up building 1/72.
Now I get more bang for my buck and more aircraft in my space

Even though I prefer 1/72nd, ultimately I would have to go with 1/144th. For one thing, if companies are going to make models of big (really big) planes, they tend to make them in 1/144th. Also, it seems like it is easier from a manufacturing standpoint to make the models in a smaller scale, so we end up with a wider variety of aircraft. Hypothetically (the dreaded H-word!), if a company decided to bless us by making a model of every type of aircraft that has ever flown, and can only do so in one scale, I would think they would go with 1/144th. Storage space is not an issue with the consumer with this scale.
I don't collect armor, so my opinion applies only to airplanes.

In armor it has to be 1/35th, it the perfect scale. Aircraft for me have to be 1/72nd. I don't have room for big planes and small tanks lack detail. there cannot be only one in this case.
