Re: The Military Channel

I used to, 'til I dumped all those "extra" cable channels, the vast majority of which I never watched. Unfortunately "The Military Channel" was part of that package.....I hate cable companies.

Just you just love all those REGLIOUS and HOME SHOPPING CHANNELS??? Don't forget the SPANISH ones too! They should sell all those channels seperately I think or as a package deal for those folks who want them!

Re: The Military Channel

I like the military channel as well as Discovery and history channel. I do wish that they would have kept Discovery Wings though.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Didn't Discovery Wings become The Military Channel? I was sorry to see that as well. Aircraft 24/7 would suit me just fine!

As far as including TMC in a package, how else would they get people to subscribe to all those crummy home and garden channels if they didn't include something cool in the package.

Same here i had all the extra channels that none of us watched and the Military channel was right in the middle of them.
But i have notice that what's on Discovery Channel has been seen on the Military one too.

Re: The Military Channel

Hi Guys,
Finally I find a thread that appeals to the masses Discovery Wings should resume programing as soon as we can figure out how to drop every insurgent and re program them into Teletubbies. I have Direct TV and they packaged it with some other great channels that I to never watch. Lately they have been showing alot of technology we're currently using in Iraq. I especially enjoy when the take you through the old post war scenes such as all of the ME-262's sitting around for us to disect. Even seen the story of when Chuck Yeager got to test the Mig 15. Then there is the comparisons
of various aircraft. A guy could become a self proclaimed aviation expert????

Re: The Military Channel

I've never had the Military Channel in my dish network package, so it doesn't really matter to me. The Discovery Wings, History Channel and PBS are pretty adequate when it comes to getting my military aviation (and military H/W & technology in general) fix.

Have you guys seen the "WARPLANE" documentaries that have been airing/replaying on PBS lately? I was surprised by the quality of content, informational histories, and the amount of details devoted to each and every episode on the development of military aircraft technology, and then some. I recommend you catch this series by checking your local listings guide in your area. Worthwile watching!
