True you got a point there. Maybe they should send skunky there, he looks like he might be at home and he won't have the sea galls to worry about making a mess on his house

Yeah, he can make a home amongst the cattle and sheep grazing in the garbage piles.

And for the first time, I just saw an A-10 get into the landing pattern at the local ANG base. It was low enough that I was able to watch the gear extend. Very cool!

Re: Cool Sites out your window

In the late 60's as a kid I lived at what was probably the busiest military transport base in Canada- like having a private airshow 24/7. My house was at the intersection of RCAF Rd and Curtis Dr, an unobstructed view of the hangar line and approaches as well as the sweet spot on the runway. Most days you could just faintly smell Turbo2 or JP4 in the air. Hercs, Yukons and Buffalo as well as unscheduled visits from the jet jockeys in 104's or Voodoos.

That would still be an interesting place today.

Re: Cool Sites out your window

The B-25 Pic is taken out the back door of my work.

The B-17 Sentimental Journey picture was taken on my way to work. It is based at the airport I work at
and when its in town, alot of the time I will eat my lunch in the CAF parking lot and and just gaze at the
planes there.

For the Rotorheads, the AH-64 Longbows are manufactured just across the way at the Boeing plant.

Up the street, they are rebuilding old S2 Trackers into firebombers and are trying to rebuild some old OV-10 Broncos.

Sometimes life is good

For a weekend, this was the view from my office window.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Holy Cow. Great views Gunslinger and Mustangdriver. I look out my office window and get a great view of the parking lot.

What Mustangdriver and Gunslinger see out their windows LOOKS like a parking lot. The difference is what is PARKED there!
