Re: Cool Sites out your window

I hope the new building manages to keep the same atmosphere that the old buildings had.
It was one of the few indoor museums that managed to keep me interested enough to stay to view all their exhibits.
Aircraft outside were fabulous..... not seen anywhere else.

Nice village dump ya got there, Skunkster!!! I remember visiting the Weld Zoo (real name: the Weld village dump) and seeing the bears! This was an occational ritual 'till they put a fence around the place. Ya got bears visiting ya?

Re: Cool Sites out your window

I overlook the yacht basin in Hamilton Harbour... it's nice to watch sailboats.

Also have advantage of being on flightpath to Hamilton Airport so I usually see the CWH aircraft flying. Not unusual to see Lancaster, B-25 and other museum goodies as they depart and return from flying duties.
CAF Hercules was in the other day and CAF Cormorants are regular visitors.
Of course also being near major hospital we see flying ambulance quite often.
HMCS Haida, now a museum, is just down the street as well as Navy and Army Reserve base. Visiting naval vessels dock within sight as well.

Back at the old chathem air force base I once saw a cf-18 do a touch and go and it just blew me away. He came in like he was going to land, hit the burners and was gone!! The noise was so loud and cool it even caused the windows to shake!!!

Oh that is such a monster sound . . . it is almost a burning & ripping sound. Cool.

Cool pic, Skunky! It's just as scenic as the famous "Smokey Mountain" tourist attraction in the Philippines Islands.

Take away the seagulls, and it would strikingly resemble any number of large cities in the middle east.
