Re: How many of you also collect aviation art?

Don't have any full size prints, but I picked up a great book in Barns+Noble on sale last year that is just full of bomber artwork. It called "Bomber missions".

If you find it get I recommend it.

That's a nice book and I have that one as well.

Re: How many of you also collect aviation art?

I was thinking of buying Bomber Missions, but it's no longer in stock at my Barnes & Noble, where it was heavily discounted and I should have picked one up when I had a chance! I'll have to look online. Thanks for the recommendations!

Ted, you can still get it at B & N for a good price. I paid $30 for BM when it first came out. While you're at, I will also recommend "Flying Aces" also from the same publisher.

I've just ordered both books. Many thanks for the recommendations! The artwork on the cover of Bomber Missions is stunning, isn't it? The B-25, nose art, water effects, merchant ship all look wonderful.

Is the top turret gunner causing all that cadoodle in the water? Nice!

I like everything about that painting but the Mavis... it doesn't look right to me.

You're welcome. Yes, I defnitely concur with you about that B-25 nose art and the whole environment shabang. The Eagle nose art is just plain gorgeous and striking, imho.
