Hell in the Pacific

Wow, is anyone else watching this on the Military Channel? It's hard to watch, but it ought to be required viewing.

I dont have this channel is it on the Sky network? I do have a video called Hell in the pacific, it consists of footage taken from aircraft and surface vessels under attack and scares the heck out of me every time I watch it. It also has gun camera film taken from Hellcats that really show the hitting power of the .05s guns. I would not want to be in a Zero with those rounds coming in. Also on the film are several attacks by Kamikazi aircraft, dreadfull images that stay with you after you have watched them. It took a lot of guts to face that threat. It seems as you watch the attack unfold that it is impossible for any enemy aircraft to get through the barrage of anti aircraft fire put up but somehow a few always get through. The bravery of the fire teams onboard the stricken vessels was beyond belief. When I watch films like that I sit back and thank God that thanks to those boys and thousands like them I have been able to live a very safe happy life.

God Bless America.
