Thumbs up Re: Diecast and Death

A very interesting topic. I have a three different scales: 1:100, 1:48 and 1:72 and I have them on the computer for two reasons. First, so that my wife and/or daughters know what I paid and, since I try to up-date about every six months, what the current value of each model is. Staying current is hard to do, as most of you already know. The second reason is that I send the same three lists to my insurance carrier. I don't want a hassle if something bad happens to the collection.

Re: Diecast and Death

The final insult occurs some months later. RC club members inquire if the planes, transmitters and other things are available for sale. The widow's pleasure in having disposed of the stuff them becomes pain when she learns she has literally throw away thousands of dollars.

Well perhaps she desrves it. If she is the one who drove her hubby to the hobby, all the better she should get nothing in the end! Harumpf!!

Re: Diecast and Death

As for me.... i don't plan on leaving here for a least another 40 yrs...JP

"Here?" As in The Model Hangar?

Your devotion to the hobby gets you a Fargan Award Nomination.

I knew you mods took oaths, but a promise of 40 years is neat.
