Jim, you might want to rethink those pig ears. Our dog loves them, but we quit feeding them to her as per the vet's suggestion, as they apparently are very high fat and are not good for dogs

Oh heck! and I love to share with them. The other treat they have have are enomous cooked bones from our local farm shop. Thinking about it I suppose they could be said to be high fat because of the marrow content. the oldest dog called Bess is about 15 and fit as a fiddle. Tramp is about 10 or twelve we are not sure. They are taken on long walks nearly every day so I hope they run most of the fat off. However like us as they are getting on in years I think you are right and maybe we should review what we feed them. We have never fed them human food such as biscuits etc, we treat them as working dogs, however Lorraine will insist on making them a full Christmas dinner every year. Surprisingly they love Brussel sprouts and carrots!!!! Bess has a disgusting habit of eating horse manure!!! We have to watch her all the time when we are in fields that have horses in. Why on earth she does this we dont know. Funny animals dogs! Anyway thanks for the info Capn, amazing place this Hanger ,very wide base of topics.

They have been known to cause blockages inside the intestine.

I can see that your cat is an animal who loves to be where the work is, and at the same time be a zillion miles from effort of any kind.

If only I could sleep like a cat, with no worries or responsibilities of any kind, I'd purr too!

Jim, you gotta be cruel to be kind. Tell the dogs that the pigs' ears are out, and tofu bones are in. I'm sure they'll love you for it!
