Maize & Blew!

The Wolverines were out-played,out-coached (outed as a pretender to the College football throne).

Re: Maize & Blew!

I was so disgusted, I shut the game off 10 minutes before it ended . Michigan's inability to 1) beat OSU and 2) win bowl games the last several years is an embarrassment. Lloyd has to go!

I will hold comment for another week so as to not jinx the Big Ten's last remaining hope. But yes, Michigan was badly out-played by a superior team. They are already calling for Llllloyd's head?

Re: Maize & Blew!

The whole zone blocking scheme is in-effective against a speedy defense. But, Lloyd decided to stick w/it anyway! I hope the looong lay-off doesn't effect the Buckeyes.

Re: Maize & Blew!

I watched a good portion of the game. What a shame, I really thought the Maize and Blue would win a bowl game this year. I seem to remeber an OSU coach who seemed to have the same problems beating Michigan and winning bowl games. What WAS his name? John Coop or some such, wasn't it? Perhaps Lloyd needs to be sent to the same coach's graveyard.

On the otherhand, what am I saying? I'm an OSU fan for crying out loud! I LOVE coach Carr.

I would be very surprised if Tressel did not have his team ready to play.

Re: Maize & Blew!

Unfortunately Michigan has a very poor record in recent decades at the Rose Bowl against SoCal teams, which always seems to be USC.

Good thing my other school, Texas, pulled out a close win against Iowa instead of ending the season with three straight losses. Iowa played well in San Antonio. But I am still amazed that a 6-6 team that is 2-6 in conference can get to a bowl game. That couldn't have anything to do with money; could it?!
